song 91 "Dream Song"

I forgot the dream song, but it gave me a subject which is always my biggest hang up when I write a song. I think it's too early in the morning. I had a cough and you can probably hear the roughness in my voice.

This morning I was having a dream
I was writing a song
and I tried to keep it in my mind
but now it escapes me

It was really good with melody and words
I was even trying to remember the chords
and wondered if they would sound the same
as I heard them in my dream

As I head it in my dream
but the music slowly changed

When I woke up
the song in my head was one I knew
It was one that I wrote
a long time ago
So I had to start anew
